Let someone send you something sensitive
You need a log, a config, or a document from someone outside your team, and you do not want it sitting readable in an inbox.
When you are done: A reusable link you can hand out, and an inbox only your key opens.
Steps
Create a drop box and give it a label and a short prompt.
The prompt is what the sender reads, so say exactly what you need.
Save the admin link somewhere durable before you share anything.
It contains the private key that opens submissions. Losing it makes every submission unreadable.
Share the submit link. Senders need no account and nothing to install.
Open the admin link to read submissions as they arrive.
Watch out
- The admin link is the only way in. We cannot recover submissions if you lose it, because we never had the key.
- The box's label, its prompt, and the times submissions arrived are not sealed. Only the submissions themselves and sender names are.
- Anyone with the submit link can submit. Treat it as public once you have shared it, and make a new box rather than reusing one across unrelated requests.
